FCYC Pickleball Survey
This survey has been developed as part of the “FCYC Best Practices” program. Your participation in completing this survey would be greatly appreciated.

As you may know, pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the US and, arguably, the world. In addition to its many great positive attributes, it has at least one negative – it can be loud.

Tampa Yacht & Country Club has provided tennis facilities to its membership for nearly seven decades. Two years ago, TYCC expanded its racquet offerings to include Pickleball, which has been well received by their members.
As its popularity has grown, club management began receiving noise complaints from some of our residential neighbors. In an effort to be good and considerate neighbors, acoustical panels designed to deflect paddle and ball noise away from nearby homes were installed. While this measure helped to a degree, they continue to receive ongoing noise concerns from residents whose homes are approximately 100 to 200 feet from the courts.

Seeking to strike the right balance between providing recreational opportunities for its members and being respectful members of their community, they would greatly appreciate learning from your club’s experiences.
Specifically:

1a. Does your club provide Pickleball to your membership?
1b. Has your club provided Pickleball in the past?
2. If no, are you considering doing so in the future?
If you answer no to the Question #1, this survey is completed for you. Please submit your answers to
questions one and two.
